The Selfless Faces Of The Millennial Generation
The Millennial Generation is often accused (incorrectly) of being lazy and self obsessed by the older generation especially the Baby Boomers. But millions of generation are now taking over as primary and auxiliary care givers to the older generation as they slowly replace the older middle aged caretakers most are used to. In addition to making the class younger, Millennials tend be balanced between males and females which is a big change from the predominantly female caregivers of the past. And these numbers are not solely those that are being paid to take care of the elderly, many younger people willingly take care of family members out of a sense of familial duty and a desire to connect with the living past. This just goes to show that sweeping generalizations should not be used when judging tens of millions of people especially when it comes to their dedication to the well being of their elders.
