An elderly women in Austria attempted to shred over $1 million in cash at her retirement home shortly before her death apparently in order to spite her would be heirs. What drove her to such an over the top act is unknown but it must have been big to take the time to hand cut all the notes. But there might be good news for the heirs, the central bank of Austria has stated they will replace the cut up notes. The only catch is they have to provide as much as the shreds as possible and confirm the origin of the money.
