Couple Arrested For Murder After Attempt To Probate Will
A couple has been accused of murdering a wealthy Texas man in Mexico and attempting to probate a false holographic will. The road to the alleged murder began when Jake Merendino began a relationship with David Meza via the internet two years ago. Over time, the pair became closer to the point the Meza convinced Merendino to purchase a high end condo in Mexico for retirement. However, something went wrong and Merendino’s body was found a short distance from the resort at which the couple was staying right after Meza had returned to the United States alone. Now it appears that the entire relationship was a set up as Meza had a pregnnt girlfriend and the two apparently planned to rob Merendino but had their plan went awry and instead attempted to probate the handwritten will naming Meza the sole heir will which prompted the investigation. Currently the pair are being held in California and no trial date has yet been set.
