Dealing With Difficult Clients

Difficult clientFinancial planners that have to deal with needy or annoying clients often face many headaches. It is important to set clear boundaries with clients and be polite but firm about letting them know what those boundaries are. Staff may need to be trained to deal with those obsessive and disruptive clients that call all the time. Estate planners should also get a better understanding of human psychology to be able to identify what sort of things might set their client off. Being able to identify the emotional triggers that could upset their clients will help them be better at dealing with them. Difficult clients are always going to be an inescapable pitfall for many financial planners and it is always a good idea to be prepared for these types of personalities.
