Father Of Deceased Oil Heir Seeks Money From Son’s Estate
The Getty family is synonymous with extreme wealth and tragedy and both were on display when Gordon Getty filed a creditor’s claim against the estate of his deceased son Andrew. Andrew was found dead in his Los Angeles area home due to health complications from the long term use of methamphetamine. Gordon claims that his son was loaned over $10 million and dozens of artworks over the years and he seeks to have to money and art returned to him. The Getty family has a long history of tragedy including the famous case of Gordon’s father refusing to pay a ransom for the return of a grandson which later resulted in the grandson’s ear being sent to the family to induce payment. No word yet on when a ruling on the claim will be made.
