How Insurable Is Santa Claus?

Santa clausThis article discusses what it would take to insure Santa Claus. “Each year at Insure.com, we use a pre-set list of tasks and match them to occupations from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and then calculate his total wages for the year.” According to the research Santa Claus is on pace for a 2015 corporate wage increase. Before getting into his sleigh for his annual ride around the world to deliver presents to children for Christmas Santa Claus will need to think about life insurance coverage. The researchers used a life insurance calculator to find how what sort of policy would be needed to help Mrs. Claus cover her expenses while taking over the workshop. They conducted a profile of Santa Claus taking into account his health and age. Santa Claus might run into some trouble with his health (from eating too many cookies and sweets), as well as the risks of his occupation (sleigh rides and climbing down chimneys can be dangerous). There are a few lifestyle changes discussed in this article that Santa could make to reduce the cost of his policy. This article discusses the methodology that insurance companies regularly use to come up with these decisions.
