Scientists Working To Identify Victims Of Pearl Harbor Attacks

Pearl harborIt has been 74 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. There is currently an effort underway by the government to identify some of the victims of that attack by testing the bones of hundreds of unidentified sailors and Marines who perished on the day of the attack. “The discolored skeletal remains of the dead, newly exhumed from a cemetery in Hawaii, are undergoing DNA and other advanced examinations in a Nebraska Air Force base laboratory.” These efforts will make it possible to finally properly entomb some of the fallen from that day. It is a very large task and the people involved are confident that they have techniques, personnel, and capacity to carry it out.
