Estate Planning For People Living Past 100

Ticking clockA new report put out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that the number of Americans living to be 100 or older has increased. People that are expecting to live that long will need to carefully plan their retirement so that they can have enough income to live comfortably on. This article discusses some basic steps that people can consider when planning for a long life-span. People should consider delaying the claiming of social security benefits and getting a job that offers a pension. It is important to be able to keep up with inflation, and people might want to consider purchasing an immediate annuity so that they can have extra income to live on in later years. People should draw down their retirement savings very slowly so that they can make it last for many decades.
