Legendary Texas Plaintiff Lawyer Joe Jamail Revised Will Six Months Before Passing Away
The legendary Texas Plaintiff lawyer Joe Jamail revised his will six months before he passed away on December 23, 2015. Mr. Jamail also revised documents governing a trust that he had requested that all his outstanding assets be poured into. His three sons filed their application for probate of their father’s Will with the Harris County Probate Court on December 29, 2015. “In his will, Jamail wrote that he had exercised power granted to him by his late wife’s will to stipulate that any distributions from a marital trust be given to their offspring, but to give those outright only to the adult children who are not under a legal disability at the time of the distribution.” Mr. Jamail’s longtime administrative assistant Denise Davidson was named as an alternative executor of his estate.
