New Report Shows Top Charitable Gifts Of 2015
A new report from the The Chronicle of Philanthropy has been released which shows the top gift givers to charity in 2015. The winner for the last year was the Texan John Santikos who gave over $600 million to a charity dedicated to civic improvement in the city of San Antonio. Second place came from John and Jenny Paulson who donated $400 million to Harvard for use by its engineering college. However, these gifts do not quite overtake 2014 where the top gifts were $1 billion and $500 million respectively. Overall, the top gifts were overwhelmingly to universities with institutes such as the University of California and Northwestern taking home substantial pledges over $100 million. Now let us see what 2016 holds in realm of mega donations.
