Utah Family Uses Shotgun To Spread Father’s Ashes

ShotgunWalter Hosey was a long time resident of Utah who fought for his country in the Vietnam War and was an avid shooter often spending time at his local shooting range. When he died, his family sought out a unique way to honor his memory and settled on an unexpected choice, loading Walter’s ashes in shotgun shells and firing away. Walter’s son Clint followed through on this idea recently when he brought 50 shells to his fathers favorite shooting range and fired them off afterwards stating about his father “I think he got a kick from that.” While this certainly qualifies as an unusual way to complete the ashes to ashes, dust to dust path I cant blame someone for wanting their mortal remains to go out in a blast at a place they love.
