When Is A Person Eligible For Medicare?
There are millions of retired and disabled Americans who receive coverage from a federal health insurance program known as Medicare. For most people Medicare coverage starts at the age of 65. There is a work record requirement that many people have to meet, and there are also certain conditions that can permit people to get Medicare before they turn 65 or older. If a person does not meet the work record requirement they will likely still get Medicare benefits but might have to pay a premium for Medicare Part A. Medicare enrollment is not automatic for everybody, and a person would typically sign up during their initial enrollment period which runs for seven months. “Thankfully, its easy to apply online for Medicare, so your benefits will start on time.”
