Things People Should Know When Researching Charities

CharityThe recent scandal surrounding the Wounded Warrior Project has highlighted the need for people to be more careful about which charities they donate to.  Not every charity is fraudulent, but people should do careful background research before giving away their money.  This article provides people with some resources that they can use to read up on the charities that they are thinking of supporting.  “Another option is to look at rating sites such as Charity Navigator, BBB Wise Giving Alliance, or CharityWatch.”  These types of research organizations measure how efficient the charity is being with finances.  There are people who are also measuring charities on other metrics like what impact the money that they spend has.  People who are thinking of donating to charity should read this article and use some of the resources that it provides.
