Kentucky Lawyer Facing Decades In Prison For Huge Social Security Scam
Social Security Disability is supposed to be for those who have been rendered unable to work by the unfortunate circumstances of life and help with their support an upkeep. But one Kentucky lawyer decided to scam that system for what is suspected to be hundreds of millions of dollars by bribing an administrative law judge to allow his clients to qualify on appeal. In addition, the lawyer had doctors on the dole who would help the case by generating the initial diagnosis of total and permanent disability. This went on long enough for the lawyer to be known as “Mr. Social Security” and build one of the largest disability law practices in the country despite being located in a heavily rural area. The lawyer is currently facing up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted and could also be on the hook for reimbursing the government for part of the falsely distributed aid. Just goes to show that no matter how long the facade may stand it will eventually fall and expose the ugly truth propping it up.
