Hand Casts Offer a Unique Memorial for Dying Loved Ones
Trish Rogers is offering a unique memorial for families with loved ones near death. She creates a cast of a dying patient’s hand, either by itself or with the hand of a relative. Rogers is making these casts free of charge for any requesting family. Part of the reason she got into memorializing these relationships was due to the loss of her own mother, remembering her in a unique way would have brought her comfort for many years to come. Hands are often so distinctive, expressive, and recognizable, so providing tangible memories for loved ones is a valuable service and comfort for families moving forward.
