Getting Your Children Interested in Your Collection
Oftentimes when parents pass down their collection to their children, the children are uninterested in what they have painstakingly assembled. So, how do you get your children interested in the collection or the joy of collecting? You should always tell your children why you are passionate about your collection, which will help them garner greater appreciation. Also, if the collection is representative of some family history, this information will tug at their heartstrings and further engage them in the importance of the collection. You should also make sure that you convey the importance of the collection based on what it says about the collector, not the collection itself.
