John F. Kennedy’s Original Swim Trunks Up for Auction Starting at a Dollar

Guersney’s auction house is placing a number of items up for auction that were once owned by John F. Kennedy. The auction represents an early commemoration of what would have been the President’s 100th birthday. It will include President Kennedy’s swim trunks, jacket, and a number of family items. Guersney’s will also auction a few of Jackie Kennedy’s personal items: belts, perfumes, and the black lace mantilla she wore at her husband’s funeral. The starting bid for these items is a very meager $1, but the general expectation is that they will sell for substantially more.
