Museum Visitors Damage 800-year-old Coffin
Visitors at Prittlewell Priory Museum in Southend, England, damaged an 800-year-old coffin that has been on display at the museum for nearly 100 years. The group responsible for the damage was apparently trying to take a photo with a baby they had placed in sarcophagus. It is not yet clear how they managed to vandalize the coffin, but their endeavors caused a chunk of sandstone to come loose. Fortunately, the damage is repairable and the culprits were caught on camera. Unfortunately, the coffin will need to be enclosed in order to prevent any further damage. A very special thanks to the yahoos that ruined it for everybody else.
