Though The Cowboy State is sparsely populated and not excessively expensive, care services for seniors are limited. Since the options for care are few, what resources are available tend to be very expensive. A year in a nursing home can cost upwards of $85,000. In-home care, such as hiring an aide, sits well above the national median at over $60,000 per year.
