In this Note, Ryan M. Tucker analyzes the Louisiana Supreme Court’s decision in Successions of Toney, 2016-1534, p. 5 (La. 5/3/17); 226 So. 3d 397, 401, holding that a testament is absolutely null when it materially deviates from the formalities prescribed for the execution of a testament that must be observed pursuant to Louisiana Civil Code article 1577.
