In Major Victory for Britney Spears, Judge Orders Jamie Spears to Be Deposed and Produce Surveillance Records

In a victory for Britney Spears, Judge Brenda Penny ordered that Jamie Spears produce all documents related to electronic surveillance and to sit for a deposition within the next 30 days. 

Ms. Spears has previously alleged that her father monitored her phone, bugged her bedroom, and recorded private conversations through a security firm throughout her 13 year conservatorship. 

Jamie Spears’ attorney has asked for access to the documents for the deposition, however, Judge Penny ruled against this request. The legal battle has been ongoing since the conservatorship was terminated last year. Earlier this month, Ms. Spears’ attorney claimed that her father and Tri Star Sports & Entertainment were in cahoots to create the conservatorship in order to take millions from Ms. Spears rather than look out for her best interest.
