Here Are the Nitty-Gritty Details of Death Nobody Wants to Talk About

Estate planningDeath is the ultimate tragedy. It is the thing that most people want to delay as long as possible, not only for themselves, but for their loved ones. And while many people expect the emotional toll that comes with saying goodbye to a loved one, it can be the unexpected tasks that make death incredibly difficult.

In her new book, “All the Living and the Dead,” Hayley Cambell examines the logistics surrounding death. “I wanted unromantic, unpoetic, unsanitized visions of death. I wanted the naked, banal reality of this thing that will come to us all.” Campbell explores how different professionals, who work in close contact with the dead, are able to cope and what their day-to-day tasks really look like.
