Britney Spears Drops 20 Min-Plus Tell-All Recounting of Conservatorship

Instead of scheduling a sit-down interview with the likes of Oprah to discuss her conservatorship, Britney Spears posted an impromptu 20-minute video on YouTube, sharing intimate details. She said she found the notion of a formal interview tacky and wanted to deliver her side of the story to fans directly.

The video clips state that a woman introduced the idea of the conservatorship to her father and that her mother helped him with putting this plan into action. She recalls the incident that kicked off the thirteen-year ordeal, where she was strapped to a gurney as paparazzi and helicopters caught everything on video. 

Spears also discussed a dance rehearsal, estimated to have taken place around 2017, where she chose to voice her opinion regarding a certain dance move. She said that this decision was met with disapproval from her superiors and she ultimately admitted into a facility where she was heavily medicated. Throughout the 20-minute video, Spears made it clear what she resents her family for how they treated her throughout the thirteen year arrangement.
