Matthew Perry on the challenges of finding true love when you’re filthy rich
Mathew Perry, the actor most famously known for Friends, recently told People magazine that he has found it difficult to find love as a wealthy individual. The 53-year-old actor told the magazine that women from his past were only interested in his money.
A Beverly Hills-based matchmaker, Alessandra Conti, says that it is not uncommon for celebrities and high net worth individuals to be wary that potential partners don’t have pure-intentions. A majority of her clients are looking to weed out anyone who is only interested in money. Conti says that an ideal partner for a celebrity is someone who comes from a certain level of wealth so that they are not shocked or mesmerized by the lifestyle. To meet such individuals, Conti recommends not only using matchmaking services, but looking for love by volunteering for a charity close to their heart and attending high-end events and galas.
