Police find at least 115 bodies at Colorado ‘green’ funeral home under investigation

The Fremont County Sheriff described the disturbing nature of a situation within a Colorado funeral home, which has become the focus of a criminal investigation due to improper storage of bodies. 

A significant law enforcement presence, including the FBI, was observed along Highway 115 last week, delving into the Return to Nature Funeral Home operations. Notably, the funeral home specialized in eco-friendly burials, avoiding embalming chemicals and metal caskets. 

The investigation was initiated following reports from the community concerning an unusual odor emanating from the facility, prompting authorities’ involvement. When law enforcement entered, they found dozens of bodies improperly stored.
