Cher files for conservatorship of son Elijah Blue Allman

CherCher has filed for temporary legal conservatorship of her adult son, Elijah Blue Allman, based on his alleged ongoing struggles with substance abuse. The petition, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeks for Cher to become the sole conservator of Elijah’s estate, claiming he is currently unable to manage his assets due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues. The court documents express concerns that any funds distributed to Elijah might be immediately spent on drugs, jeopardizing his well-being.

Elijah Blue Allman, 47, is the son of Cher and her late husband, rocker Gregg Allman. The petition notes that Elijah is entitled to regular distributions from a trust. However, due to his ongoing mental health and substance abuse issues, Cher is worried about the potential misuse of funds. Cher, who has reportedly worked tirelessly to get Elijah into treatment, emphasizes in the filing that her actions are motivated by her love for her son and a desire to ensure his well-being.
