Giorgio Armani’s Net Worth—And Who Will Inherit His Billions

Screenshot 2025-09-06 at 8.12.01 PMLegendary designer Giorgio Armani has passed away at the age of 91, the Armani Group confirmed. A public funeral chamber will be held in Milan this week, followed by a private ceremony.

Armani revolutionized fashion with his minimalist, high-end aesthetic and helped shape modern red-carpet style. He was also a pioneer in merging fashion with Hollywood, designing costumes for more than 200 films including American Gigolo, Goodfellas, and The Wolf of Wall Street. Fiercely protective of his brand, Armani remained deeply involved in creative direction until his final days.

At the time of his death, Armani’s fortune was estimated at $12.1 billion. Since founding his fashion house in 1975, he expanded it into Emporio Armani and A|X Exchange, luxury hotels, real estate, sports, and even ownership of the basketball club Olimpia Milano. The Armani Group reported $2.3 billion in revenue in 2024.

Though he never married or had children, Armani carefully planned his company’s future. His heirs include family members, longtime collaborator Leo Dell’Orco, and a foundation established to preserve his legacy. The succession plan emphasizes continuity, ensuring that Armani’s vision will endure.

Armani leaves behind not only an empire but also a lasting influence on global fashion, celebrity culture, and luxury lifestyle.
