JFK Letters Revived
The Fox Business Network’s new show, “Strange Inheritance,” is a variant on the “Antiques Roadshow” theme as people learn the value of items they have inherited. This Monday night at 9 the show is in Fall River’s Battleship Cove for a segment called “JFK Letters.” They are examining a series of letters written by the then Lt. John F. Kennedy to the mother of a sailor killed on PT-109. Her heirs, Francis Poirek of Tolland, Connecticut, and Dennis Harkins of Springfield, Massachusetts, learn they contain never-revealed details of the vessel’s deadly encounter with a Japanese destroyer in the waters of the Pacific in August 1943.
