The Need for More Estate Planning Documents Than a Will

Paper PileMany people believe that once they’ve completed their will, the details of their demise have all been taken care of, but there is more to consider than just final wishes when making an estate plan. It is important that surviving family members have all the documents and information that they need to settle the affairs of their family members after they pass away. Providing complete information helps alleviate some of the stress and pain associated with dealing with the death of a loved one. One type of commonly forgotten but important documents is paperwork related to military discharge. Military documentation, along with documents related to membership in other organizations and societies, may be needed for funeral and burial arrangements.
