Terri Schiavo — Update 18

Last night (March 25, 2005), a three judge panel of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Terri’s due process, religious, and other rights were not being violated and thus declined to order the reinsertation of Terri’s feeding tube.

Terri’s parents have requested that Florida Governor, Jeb Bush, take action to save their daughter.

Terri’s parents have also petitioned a Florida court with evidence they believe shows that Terri has expressed a desire to live.  The motion states, “She managed to articulate the first two vowel sounds, first articulating AHHHHHHH and then virtually screaming WAAAAAAAA.”  They believe this was Terri’s effort to say, “I want to live.”
