Terri Schiavo — Update 6

Yesterday (March 10, 2005), Judge Greer ruled that Florida’s Department of Children and Families cannot stop Terri’s husband from removing her feeding tube.

Immediately thereafter, Robert Herring (a San Diego businessman) made Terri’s husband an offer Robert hopes he cannot refuse.  He stated that he would pay Terri’s husband a cool $1 million in cash if he would permit Terri’s parents to take over as the surrogate decision makers for Terri.

So far, Terri’s husband has not responded.  But, he needs to act quickly.  Robert’s offer expires on Monday.  And, to make certain the deal is “legit,” Robert has already deposited the money into a trust account at a law firm.
