$1.5 Billion Charitable Gift

Joan B. Kroc, the widow of McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc, died in October 2003 and it has been revealed that she left a $1.5 billion gift to the Salvation Army.  Unlike many charitable gifts, this gift is outright — all cash!!  I wonder if Ronald is happy??  Ms. Kroc also made other charitable gifts such as a $200 million bequest to National Public Radio.
