Anna Nicole Smith Update

The 9th Court of Appeals refused to rehear a three-judge panel’s December 2004 decision giving priority to a Texas probate court’s determination that J. Howard Marshall’s son was his only heir.  The panel overturned an earlier decision by a lower federal court judge in California which awarded Anna $88.5 million by holding that the court did not have jurisdiction to make probate determinations.

Is this case finally over?  No — Anna’s attorney has indicated that he will appeal to the Supreme Court of the United States.
