Delaware & Same-Sex Couples

Yesterday (April 6, 2005), the Delaware Senate passed Substitute for Raised S.B. No. 963 which authorizes civil unions between partners of the same gender.

It is interesting to note that the Delaware legislation began as a simple bill which removed the requirement of opposite sex partners for a marriage and burgeoned into a complex civil union proposal.
