When an Heir is Not an Heir

A college student recently pleaded guilty to an assortment of charges after being caught pretending to the the heir to a billionaire family from Turkey.  By an assortment of schemes, he allegedly bilked investors out of over $7 million.

According to Pound Ridge man to plead guilty in fraud cases, The Journal News, June 6, 2006, he is expected “settle two federal fraud cases lodged against him after negotiating a plea agreement with prosecutors.”
