NCCUSL Recognizes Ohio as UTC State
As reported earlier on this blog, there has been debate as to whether the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform States Laws recognizes Ohio’s new Ohio Trust Code as an enactment of the Uniform Trust Code.
Earlier today, I received a copy of an e-mail message from Michelle Clayton (Legislative Counsel, National Conference of Commissioners Uniform State Laws) which states in part that NCCUSL “certainly do[es] count Ohio as a UTC state.”
The NCCUSL website now shows Ohio as having enacted the UTC.
