The American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law and the ABA Center for Continuing Legal Education is sponsoring a 90-minute teleconference and live audio webcast entitled What Every Estate Planning Attorney Should Know About Florida on Tuesday, November 7, 2006.

Here is the description of this program:

With many retirees spending some or all of their golden years in Florida, estate planning attorneys around the country frequently confront Florida estate planning and probate issues. 
This program will provide you with important information and tips concerning Florida estate planning and probate issues that are likely to arise in your practice.  After listening to this program and reading the course materials, you will be able to:

    • evaluate whether your client would be considered a Florida domiciliary
    • advise clients about Florida probate
    • plan for possible elective share issues
    • analyze and draft trusts consistent with Florida’s new Trust Code
    • effectively dispose of Florida homestead property
