Niece Burns Up 100 Year Old Aunt for Excluding Her from Will
It is often good advice to keep the contents of your will secret. Failure to do so, may cause you to pay the ultimate price as did Violet Durling.
The following excerpts are from Aunt murdered in inheritance row, BBC News, Dec. 21, 2007:
A woman has been found guilty of murdering her 100-year-old aunt in a dispute over her inheritance.
Violet Durling died in her flat in Newham, east London, in February 2006 when Susan Turner, 46, started a fire in the family shop below.
Ms Durling, a former royal dressmaker, was overcome by smoke from the blaze.
The Old Bailey heard Turner, from Barkingside in east London, had failed to have her aunt’s will changed to make her sole heir to the £300,000 property.
