Settlement Reached in Tobias Case

TobiasThe strange case of the death of Seth Tobias, founder of the Circle T Family of Funds, may be coming to a close.

Seth died on September 4, 2007.  He was found dead in his swimming pool.  Seth’s brothers accused Seth’s wife, Philomena, of murdering him so that she could not receive his estate under Florida’s slayer statute.  The brothers claimed to have evidence from an Internet psychic that Philomena poisoned Seth’s pasta and then convinced him to go swimming promising that he could then have sex with a male stripper.

The police found no evidence of a crime and the story told by the psychic was discounted.

On Monday, June 16, 2008, both sides will be in Palm Beach County Probate Court where Judge Ordeal will consider whether to approve a settlement that both sides have approved.

Special thanks to David S. Lubber (Attorney at law, Florida Probate Attorney Wills and Estates Law Firm) for bringing this development to my attention.
