Britney Spears incurs high legal fees

The fight over the custody of Britney Spears’ two children has been very expensive according to Spears custody fight touts hefty price tag, CNN.com, Aug. 19, 2008.  Here are some of the details:

• Total legal fees exceed $716,000.
• Stacy D. Phillips claims over $400,000 for four months work.  She also claims to have already written off $125,000.
• Laura Wasser claims $60,000.
• Britany has agreed to pay $250,000 of her ex-husband’s (Kevin Federline) legal fees.
• The case is especially complicated because Britney is still under a temporary conservatorship due to her erratic behavior and stints in the hospital.
