Hurricane Ike even displaced dead people

Not only did Hurricane Ike cause untold number of people to flee their homes, it also caused disruption to the dead.

The following details are from Allen G. Breed, Even dead seemed to try to flee Ike’s wrath, Yahoo! News, Sept. 15, 2008:

• Hollywood Community Cemetery in Orange, Texas was especially impacted.
• Dozens of caskets rose to the surface after Ike flooded the cemetery.
• One of caskets contained Grammy Award winner Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown’s body.
• Fumes from the bodies and the embalming fluid are strong enough to sting eyes and throat.
