Body part thief pleads guilty
On October 17, 2008, Henry Reid (former director of UCLA’s Willed Body Program) admitted that he conspired to steal body parts valued at over $1 million and deliver them to a “body broker.”
Under a plea agreement, Henry will spend over four years in state prison and pay restitution to UCLA.
After Henry’s actions were discovered in 2004, UCLA’s program was shut down for over 1.5 years.
