Another dual career judge and funeral director
Earlier on this blog, I discussed a Nashville, Tennessee judge who has received some bad press lately for his second job as a funeral director.
I have since learned of another judge who has combined judicial and funeral careers (note that I found no evidence of any conflicts between the two positions).
Here is an excerpt from the biography of Presiding Judge L. Joseph Lee of the Mississippi Court of Appeals:
In 1975, Judge Lee fulfilled one of his life’s goals and bought funeral homes in Jackson and Rankin County, which became known as Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home. For years, Judge Lee simultaneously maintained his law practice and ownership of the funeral homes.
