Election Results: Same Sex Marriage in California — Update

The short-lived legality of same-sex marriage in California is now over because the citizens of California have approved Proposition 8 which restricts marriages to opposite-sex couples.

With 99.7% of the precincts reporting as of 8:05 a.m. EST today (November 6, 2008), 52.5% voted in favor of the Proposition with 47.5% opposed.
