Don’t ask, don’t tell — charitable contribution style — Update
Earlier on this blog, I reported that several colleges were getting large contributions conditioned on the school promising not to ascertain the identity of the donors.
According to Justin Pope, Colleges led by women getting mystery gifts, Lubbock Online, April 24, 2009, the only connection among the schools is that their leaders are women.
The article explains:
Coincidence? Unlikely. With about 23 percent of U.S. college presidents women, the odds of a dozen randomly selected institutions all having female leaders are 1 in 50 million.
