Madoff Affects Quest for Immortality

A married couple whose architectural designs seek to make humans immortal invested millions with Madoff, putting their work at risk.  The couple designs homes with physical obstacles, such as uneven floors, oddly shaped rooms, and inconveniently placed windows, because they believe that comfortable living quickens death. 

One tenant of a completed unit commented that “the window to the balcony is near the floor, and [my wife] keeps bumping her head against the frame when she crawls out to hang up laundry.”
