OxiClean Spokesman Dies

Billy_maysBilly Mays, the shouting TV pitch-man for OxiClean and other products, died in his sleep on June 28, 2009.  An autopsy revealed that heart disease was the likely cause of death and not a bump to the head that occurred during a rough airplane landing. Mays told a friend that he was not feeling well the night before he died.

The Discovery Channel was, and is still, slated to run a series of episodes called Pitchmen featuring Mays.  The fate of his ads will depend on discussions with Mays’ widow.
