Sale of Duplex Has Royal Implications
A recent New York Times article discusses a New York lawsuit surrounding the sale of a multi-million dollar duplex-apartment owned by Lionel Pincus, the husband of Princess Firyal of Jordan.
- Mr. Pincus was previously declared incompetent.
- The sons of Mr. Pincus want to sell the duplex but allege that Princess Firyal is interfering with their ability to do so.
- If the duplex is sold while Mr. Pincus is alive, the proceeds of the sale are marked for charity.
- If the duplex remains in the estate of Mr. Pincus and Princess Firyal outlives Mr. Pincus, the princess would inherit the duplex.
