Details From Walter Cronkite’s Will
Walter Cronkite’s 24-page will leaves his personal papers, including documents such as a typed dispatch from a World War II Cruiser, to the Dolph Briscoe Center for American History at the University of Texas at Austin. Cronkite began his journalistic career as a student working on the university’s student paper before he dropped out in 1935 to pursue a career in the news business.
Crokite’s will splits much of his other assets between his three children, but also aims to pay for the education of his grandchildren and give financial awards to two longtime staff members if his estate exceeds $2 million.
