Doctor Accused of Stealing Deceased Patient’s Rolex
A family grieving the loss of their father, Jerry Kubena, is also suing the doctor who treated their father, Enmon. Enmon is accused of stealing Kubena’s Rolex watch upon his death at a Stockton hospital. Scott Smith, in Doctor accused of theft of rolex appears in court, Recordnet, Sept. 29, 2009, writes that
According to the civil lawsuit Kubena’s children filed, two nurses noticed the missing watch and a bulge in Enmon’s pocket. Outside, a nurse said she noticed Enmon toss something in the grass, and a hospital surveillance camera captured Enmon.
The accused doctor faces criminal theft charges and a wrongful death suit in which the family accuses the doctor of providing substandard treatment so that the doctor could take the watch.
The family has since recovered the missing estate asset.
